Smoke rises from Belle Harbour, Queens after American Airlines flight 587, en route to the Dominican Republic, crashed minutes after taking off from New York's John F. Kennedy airport Monday morning. Flames from the plane, an Airbus A300, destroyed four homes on the ground and damaged at least 16 more
