Heavy on beans and lentils, small yellow packages of U.S. food aid are descending on Afghanistan. Some goes to hungry refugees — and some goes to market

Staff Sgt. Ricky Smith, 437th Aerial Port Squadron, Charleston Air Force Base, S.C., moves containers full of humanitarian daily rations at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. As of October 10th, more than 37,000 humanitarian food packages to thousands of displaced Afghan refugees have been delivered.
