In a simple, quiet ceremony, the recovery and removal efforts at Ground Zero come to an end


A New York and New Jersey Port Authority Police officer plays bagpipes. The service, marking the official end to the clean-up, got underway at 10:29 am E.T. -- the exact moment the second of the 110-story World Trade Center towers collapsed on September 11 -- with 20 peals of a silver fire bell, the traditional number sounded when a firefighter has died.
