The Flash: At the XXVII Summer Olympics, staged in Sydney in September, Marion Jones took home three golds (for the 100-m sprint, the 200 m and the 4 x 400-m relay) and two bronzes (for the long jump and the 4 x 100-m relay). In the 100m, Jones registers a time of 10.75 secs. and the largest margin of victory since 1952.
