The Vision of Richard Serra

Serra photographed recently at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, where his retrospective Richard Serra Sculpture: Forty Years, runs from June 3 to Sept. 10. Behind him is one of his newest works, "Band," a 72 ft.-long undulating ribbon of steel made from 10 separate plates that weigh a total of 193 tons.
