Philip Johnson's Glass House

Over the years, the setting for the Glass House has grown from Johnson's original five-acre plot to 47 acres. Johnson's only concession to ordinary notions of privacy was a brick cylinder within the house that held a fireplace on one side and a bathroom on the other.
