Aug 9-10 1969: The Tate-LaBianca Murders, Los Angeles
In a rage over his dismal music career, Manson ordered several of his
followers, many of them women, to slaughter his perceived enemies. Armed
with hunting knives, they descended on two affluent homes, one picked at
random, the other owned by a producer who refused to record his music and
killed everyone they could find there. The victims did not even know Manson.
Among them was the actress Sharon Tate, the pregnant wife of director Roman
Polanski.
