Bettmann / Corbis
Early Works
Originally named the Bavarian Brewery, the company was acquired by a German immigrant named Eberhard Anheuser in 1860. When Anheuser's daughter married Adolphus Busch, the father and son-in-law teamed up to form the ancestor of the contemporary brewing giant. Descendants of the patriarchs have run the company ever since.
