Ice Storage Experiment
An ice-forming coil is tested at EPRI's Knoxville, Tennessee laboratories, part of a project to provide a more efficient means of creating cool air. The technique is relatively simple: generate ice during off-peak hours (when electricity is less costly) then use it to provide cooling during the more costly peak times.
