Man of Letters
John Updike was a Pulitzer-prize winning author of novels, verse, essays and criticism. He is perhaps best known for a series of novels about an ordinary American man named Harry Rabbit Angstrom. Known informally as the Rabbit series, the books trace the sad life of an undistinguished middle American against the great events of the last half-century.
