The future site of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum is still very much a work in progress. Politics, a shrinking economy, soaring costs and raw emotions have delayed progress on its development. On August 24, workers re-installed the famed "Last Column," the final steel beam to be removed from the original World Trade Center site and a centerpiece to the future Memorial Museum.
