Home in 1967 to Super Bowl I, then called the First AFL-NFL World Championship Game, the stadium was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1984. Opened in 1923, the venue has hosted several major sporting events, including the Olympic Games twice, the World Series once and Super Bowl VII in 1973.
