Jobs met Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak (above, seated) while working as a summer employee at computer giant Hewlett-Packard (he had yet to graduate high school). He later enrolled at Reed College, then dropped out after one semester. In 1974 he returned to Silicon Valley, where he and Wozniak began attending meetings of the Homebrew Computer Club.
