Outbreak
Violence erupted in Osh on June 11, as tension between Kyrgyz and Uzbek groups erupted in killings and the destruction of property. Most of the violence was aimed at the local Uzbek minority, which owns many of the businesses in Osh, a large city in southern Kyrgyzstan.
