After the 33 trapped Chilean miners were discovered alive on Aug. 22, 2010, rescuers were able to communicate with them and provide supplies from the outside world using small packages called palomas (carrier pigeons). This paloma contains a letter from miner Edison Peña to his partner, Angelica Alvarez.
