The nomination of Mikati was triggered when Hizballah and its allies withdrew from Hariri's government. Anger over the announcement led protesters in Tripoli to set fire to a truck belonging to Al-Jazeera, the Arab satellite television channel, above. Some regard the channel as sympathetic to Hizballah.
