The World's top six chess players compete in São Paulo, Brazil, during the 4th Chess Grand Slam Championships at Ibirapuera Park on October 1, 2011. Much like the tennis grand slam, the championships bring together the top competitors in the sport, who have won other international "grand slam" events earlier in the year. For the past four years, the tournament has taken place in the "aquarium," a soundproofed glass box designed for the tournament.
