McCain's Green Screen, Take 2
John McCain
Sept. 4, 2008
"The changing image-screen was linked to the American thematics of the speech and the public school was simply part of it."
Tucker Bounds, spokesman for John McCain, denying claims that a picture of Walter Reed Middle School in Los Angeles was mistakenly projected behind McCain's acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention when his speech clearly alludes to Walter Reed Army Medical Center, the VA hospital where injured troops are treated. The school's principal later criticized RNC organizers for using the image, saying they failed to get permission, adding that the school does not endorse the Republican candidate. Pundits also noted how the school lawn bore an eery resemblance to the ill-fated green backdrop McCain had previously used.
