Young Afghan girls attend the Rabia Beulkhi women's school for Afghan refugees in Hazarahtown in the southwestern city of Quetta. Some 800 Afghan girls from the ages of 6 to 18 now attend the school which started in 1998. It teaches 15 subjects ranging from English, medicine, geography to math and computer science. Shuhada, a local aid organization, also runs 56 of these women's schools inside Afghanistan. (Monday, November 5, 2001)
