Their debut was a hit with hipsters and skateboard movie directors—an odd constituency, but the former loved the cartoonish, possibly ironic exuberance of vocalist Ninja's rapping while the latter understood that no band is better at recreating the euphoria floating. The Go! Team's still untitled second record, recorded mostly in their hometown of Brighton, England, promises more delightful weirdness, with guests including the Brazilian rock troupe Bonde De Role and a cover of Sonic Youth's already weird Bull in the Heather.
