Eastern Promises

A mysterious hit man helps an ordinary family drawn into organized crime: Steve Knight's gnarly script is a replay of David Cronenberg's last film, A History of Violence. This time it's the Russian Mob in London, and Naomi Watts is the innocent who must trust Viggo Mortensen. Cronenberg provides thrills galore, especially in a bloody fight between Viggo and two thugs: they're armed; he's naked.
