Fifty years after his debut with 12 Angry Men, Sidney Lumet is still the New York City director. His new film, about two brothers (Philip Seymour Hoffman and Ethan Hawke) and a botched heist, has the interest in sad schemers that Lumet's Dog Day Afternoon did. The acting is way over the top, but the characters' rottenness will keep you watching.
