Malcolm (Jack Black) says he has "the emotional version of whatever bad feng shui is." And he's not nearly the most troubled soul in this family psychocomedy. Nicole Kidman takes that prize as Margot, who injects poison into every word. Baumbach's follow-up to his sweet, searing The Squid and the Whale is nasty but percolates with sour wit.
