In Bruges
If it's doomsday, this must be Belgium. Two hit men (Brendan Gleeson and Colin Farrell) are sent to a quaint medieval town by their nasty boss (Ralph Fiennes). Duplicity, death and pitch-black comedy abound, as they do in this playwright turned director's plays. The film is well acted and tightly plotted but, at heart, an exercise in bloody blarney.
