Jane (Katherine Heigl) is smart and efficient, the cheeriest co-dependent. So naturally she's the one who's 27 times a bridesmaid in this generic comedy about career anxiety, sibling rivalry and marital panic. The film was a box-office hit, but its tempo and values are drearily sitcom.
