A jujitsu teacher (that fine British actor Chiwetel Ejiofor) pits his spirituality against the venality of Hollywood and the mixed-martial-arts league. Mamet, a master of dramatic scams, for once sides with purity over con-manship and settles for cliches from old boxing movies (Body and Soul, Rocky) in this fitfully engaging, curiously ordinary fightfest.
