The Short List of Things to Do
A guide to what you should see and what you should skip — and what you won't be able to avoid
Are pandas the new penguins? That's the hope of this top-grade DreamWorks cartoon about a clumsy bear (voiced by Jack Black) who dreams of martial-arts stardom and, aided by his teacher (Dustin Hoffman), gets his wish. The movie is funny and pretty and boasts some of the coolest stunt choreography since the young Jackie Chan did it for real.
