PBS tries to adapt Tom and Ray Magliozzi's hilarious public-radio automotive show as a "car-toon," and that lame pun is the funniest thing about it. Loaded up with pledge-drive jokes and toothless satire, it ditches their improv banter for scripted cliches that went out with the Chevette. This TV-radio hybrid looks polished, but it's a lemon.
