The Best-Selling Bounty Hunter

You Can Run but You Can't Hide, the memoir of bounty hunter and former convict Duane (Dog) Chapman, debuted at No. 1 on the New York Times best-seller list. "My hopes were for the Top 10," Chapman tells TIME. "But I never expected No. 1." Chapman, who has gained a following of more than 4 million via his A&E reality show, says he began taking notes for the book at age 14. He says the message of his ghostwritten book is that the American Dream is possible for anyone — "of course, as long as they don't commit felonies." The Dog's next goal: writing a book about fatherhood.
