"The next president of the United States should sign an executive order requiring the Census Bureau to cease and desist from describing any American — even illegal aliens — as uninsured."

—John Goodman, president of the National Center for Policy Analysis, who helped craft Sen. John McCain's health care policy, arguing that anyone with access to an emergency room effectively has health insurance. The McCain campaign later issued a statement saying Goodman is no longer advising McCain and promising that, if elected, the Arizona Senator would "for the first time, bring health coverage within the reach of every American."
