"What I was suggesting — you're absolutely right that John McCain has not talked about my Muslim faith..." — Obama on ABC's This Week.
Two months before the election, Obama discussed with George Stephanopoulos the false rumors that he is a Muslim and addressed the fact that John McCain had denied spreading the rumors. Obama is (and was) a Christian. Stephanopoulos jumped in to correct him, and the candidate quickly clarified.
