Fortnum & Mason
They've served Charles Dickens and Queen Victoria, outfitted expeditions to Everest and Egypt, and they're still where the chicest shoppers in London buy their treats—from champagne to baked beans. Founded by a royal footman in 1707, the fine-food emporium celebrates its tercentenary with a $50 million renovation (above).

Fuchsia
Among the bright colors on offer for spring, fuchsia stands out as the must-have for shoes—breaking up fall's ubiquitous gray pallor. From Jimmy Choo to Christian Lacroix (pump, right, $735) this unique shade of pink will add a festive accent.

Fuzzy
Known for her innovative use of textiles, Miuccia Prada called this collection "simple but strange." With her playful use of mohair on sweaters, skirts and coats ($2,870), the lines may be simple, but cozying up in these creations is anything but strange.
