Another volume of Lennon pics? Okay, but this one is a little different. At the royal couples' request, Tannenbaum had been taking pictures of them for several weeks in November 1980, just as they were coming back into public life after five years away from it all. Many of the pictures, like the ones of them strolling through Central Park, are standard issue magazine celeb shots. But at the heart of Tannenbaum's book is an astonishing sequence he took of John and Yoko rolling naked in one another's arms on a bed in a white walled art gallery, photos similar to the famous Annie Leibovitz cover for Rolling Stone but much more intimate. Those are definitely not standard issue celeb shots.
