The November 28 Republican Debate

Grade: B+

Now that he is a playa, a winning debate performance is more than just entertaining — it is downright meaningful. Got to talk about the Bible and his personal story, and to display his most appealing sides. Waded into the muck trying to explain and defend his immigration record in Arkansas — then had the courage (or rashness) to speak up for benefits for the children of illegal immigrants. Overall, he was unrattled, patient, and charming — but nevertheless still faces an uphill fight.
