The November 28 Republican Debate
On a night when few candidates seemed comfortable with the format, Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney sparred while Mike Huckabee held his own, says Mark Halperin
Grade: B-
His good moments were typically impressive, but his bad moments were awkward and tentative. Failed Mission One by not efficiently laying a glove on Huckabee. At times seemed inexplicably unrehearsed (not in a good way), including during the first tough exchange with Giuliani over immigration. At other times seemed jarringly over-rehearsed, such as when addressing whether he accepts the Bible as literally true and when weighing in on the appropriateness of the Confederate flag. Strong on family issues and education.
