The Best and Worst Super Bowl Ads
As seems to be the case just about every year, it was the Super Bowl ads that kept audiences glued to television screens. TIME's Jim Poniewozik was one of those who carefully watched and evaluated every ad of the evening. Here's his take on the best of the best from this year's Super Bowl of advertising
Shaquille O'Neal debuts as a jockey, inspired by the fruity supposed-to-be-good-for-you drink to ride a poor horse to victory. (Uh, shouldn't they have given the energy drink to the horse?) Lest the premise seem too classy, a boy in the stands picks his nose and a jockey slaps O'Neal on the crotch. I've got a vitamin for you right here:
