The 50th Annual Grammy Awards
TIME's Josh Tyrangiel rates the evening's performances from the 50th Annual Grammy Awards

The Prayer
Grammy pays tribute to Pavarotti with Andrea Bocelli and Josh Groban singing David Foster's The Prayer. If only the late tenor were alive so we could see his thrilled reaction. Meanwhile, this harmlessly dull performance was preceded by an epic death reel featuring: Pavarotti, Lucky Dube, Mstislav Rostropovich, Don Ho, Dan Fogelberg, Porter Wagoner, Beverly Sills, Carlos Valdez, Ike Turner, Oscar Peterson and Robert Goulet. Obviously, Death is a Jack FM listener.
