2008 American International Toy Fair
The 105th annual American International Toy Fair brought thousands of toy makers, industry players and fun-loving gawkers to New York City this week. From an eerily life-like new Elmo to digital cameras for dogs, here's a look at some of the most notable toys, games, and gadgets of 2008.

For ages 6+
$11.99 for a starter pack, with three Bakugan and three cards
Take an anime cartoon, some action figures and cards, toss it with a game of marbles you've got Bakugan. The animated series debuts in the U.S. on the Cartoon Network on Feb. 24, but the tiny Bakugan brawlers are already big in Japan and Canada. The action-figure warriors, of which there are 100, are tucked into spheres that pop open when they're rolled onto a game card, where they gather points and the devotion of collectibles-obsessed children.
