PRO: It takes some gall to compare Steven Spielberg to Leni Riefenstahl, but wispy Mia Farrow mustered it — on the op-ed page of the Wall Street Journal, no less. A passionate defender of Sudan's embattled Darfur region, Farrow blasted the director for working as an artistic adviser to the Beijing Olympics. (China's oil-hunger keeps the Sudanese regime in power.) Spielberg eventually pulled out.

CON: Spielberg's camp called Farrow's fiery frontal assault "irresponsible," and implied that he was doing more from within the belly of the beast than she could ever accomplish as a gadfly.
