AGE: 48
OCCUPATION: Former governor of New York
NUMBER OF TIME COVERS: 0
PREVIOUS APPEARANCES ON THE TIME 100: 1

PRO: As New York Attorney General, the Harvard-educated lawyer and self-described "steamroller" brought down the Gambino family's organized crime unit, prosecuted greedy Wall Street fraudsters, and busted up prostitution rings.

CON: Yeah, about those prostitution rings...apparently, Spitzer took his work home with him (or, at least, met it in hotels), and the rest is tabloid history.
