Mitt Romney's Top 10 Gaffes
The 2008 presidential campaign is just a few months old, but Republican fundraising leader Mitt Romney has already made a career's worth of memorable media misstatements. Here is a look at his top ten gaffes so far.
"It's not worth moving heaven and earth spending billions
of dollars just trying to catch one person."
(April 26, 2007)
Romney may have a logical point here, made during an interview with the Associated Press, about capturing Osama Bin Laden, of course: There probably should be a limit to how far Americans extend their resources to catch "one person," but such a cold cost/benefit analysis of the most hated man in America is not the typical one taken by Republican party front-runners.
