Brent Comber
By salvaging cast-off materials from manufacturers and sawmills and sourcing most of his timber from fallen or already harvested trees, Canadian furniture designer Comber makes his designs with little impact on the environment. Any leftover wood chips or sawdust is composted, completing a cycle of sustainability that returns nutrients to the soil. Relying on strong silhouettes unencumbered by embellishments, Comber's eco-chic furniture retains the character of trees in its cracks and grain and natural shapes of the outdoors.
