Summer Arts Preview
From the blockbusters you know about to the art exhibitions you should know about, we preview the pop culture events of the summer
Movies: The Bourne Ultimatum
Release Date: August 3
Director: Paul Greengrass
Starring: Matt Damon
Amnesiac spy Jason Bourne, or Bond with a higher IQ and lots more angst, is back for a third film based on Robert Ludlum's series of espionage novels. Matt Damon reprises as Bourne, and the director is again Paul Greengrass, who's become the leading specialist in action movies with a political urgency (Bloody Sunday, United 93). We can trust this pair's intelligence and cinema smarts. The bigger question the season's major mystery, really, for an industry that's spent billions on its summer entertainment is which of these very pricey pictures will separate the mass movie audience from its spare change. We'll have to get back to you on that.
