Serious Wilco fans tend to freak out the straights with their ecstatic praise for the group's ordinary charms. This performance — of the typically sad, typically small title track of Wilco's sixth album — is a far more powerful argument for the band's appeal. Few performers are as deep in their own head as singer Jeff Tweedy, but his vocal precision and Joe Cocker-isms make him a compelling stage figure. It's a miniaturist performance, but an excellent one.
