Angel Cabrera, a stocky Argentine with a mean smoking habit, hit the nicotine to calm his nerves, and booming tee shots throughout the tournament, on his way to a one-shot victory over Tiger Woods and Jim Furyk at the U.S. Open. Cabrera became the first Argentine in 40 years to win a golf major. "There are some players that have psychologists," Cabrera said after taking the title. "I smoke."
