PRO: His passion for winning is unquestioned — and genetic. No one in New York wants the Yankees to win more.

CON: His mouth. Called Red Sox Nation "bulls___" and insulted Joe Torre's legacy by wondering "where was Joe's career in '95, when my dad hired him?" Became the world's leading proponent of the designated-hitter rule only after his star pitcher Chien-Ming Wang got hurt running the bases; he implored the National League to "join the 21st century" by instituting the DH. And of course, Jobagate.
