Title: President, Argentine Football Association; vice president, FIFA
PRO: Argentina holds a record six championships in the FIFA U-20 World Cup, and it picked up its second straight world championship last year at the FIFA world tournament in Canada. As head of Argentina's AFA for 30 years, Grondona has survived strong storms in a country where politics and football are often interlinked.
CON: Inability to curb violence among the country's barras bravas (or "tough gangs," Argentina's well-organized hooligans). who often enjoy political support. Also, Argentine soccer has become almost completely dependent on television rights for financial survival.
