Top iPhone Applications
Numerous apps are in the store, many are useless and others are buggy, but there are a few that make the whole app thing worthwhile. After wading through light sabers, flashlights and a staple simulator, here are some programs that are actually worth downloading.
Turn your iPhone into a remote control for your computer. This app lets you pause, fast-forward or rewind anything you're watching or listening to, or switch to a different playlist. It also operates an Apple TV, a device that sends music, photos and movies from your computer to your television. Until Apple starts making its own TVs, though, the app can't change channels on your living room set.
