Finally (finally) got the crowd going with some snappy, clever, specific attacks on John McCain, hitting the Republican nominee for his political and professional failures wrapped in his personal foibles and frailties (out of touch! stuck in the past!). After dismissing McCain ("Its time for your wake-up call") and George Bush, he gave the hard sell for Obama-promising education, health care and energy, concluding, "It's time for a President who will bring our jobs back and our troops home." Those die-hard Hillary supporters in the audience probably shed some extra tears at the lost dream of a Clinton-Strickland ticket, even as they applauded his pitch for Obama.
