After they ran out of Ian Fleming novels as the basis for their movies, the producers of the James Bond series simply appended the titles of Fleming short stories to their own original plots. This one sounds like a brooding drama — late-period Ingmar Bergman, say — but it's just the second James Bond thriller with thug-stud Daniel Craig. His first 007 film, Casino Royale, had a grittiness and violence level far removed from the somnambulistic Pierce Brosnan Bonds. But the formula really doesn't change; you can bet that Bond will outfox the usual supervillain (Mathieu Amalric) and the concupiscent supermodel (Olga Kurylenko).
